The lawyers of Zuykov and Partners has achieved the cancellation of the decision of Rospatent regarding the patent of the company Geosvip

The company Geosvip has a patent for a utility model “A Vibroseis Source.” In July 2018, LLC Firm “Primod” filed an objection to the grant of the patent with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property. Having considered the objection of the above company, in February 2019, the Board of Rospatent made a decision to satisfy the objection and to recognize the patent owned by JSC Geosvip as invalid in full.

The lawyers of Zuykov and Partners disagreed with the position of Rospatent. Subsequently, the statement of claim was prepared and filed with the Intellectual Property Court with a request to recognize the decision of Rospatent as invalid.

Having studied the case materials and having familiarized itself with the positions of the parties, the Court came to a conclusion on the legality of the claims filed and made a decision to satisfy the claim in August 2019. As a result, the decision of Rospatent was recognized as invalid and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property was bound over to reconsider the objection.
