On September 8, Zuykov and Partners held a seminar in Beijing as part of CIPAC 2026 — the 15th China Intellectual Property Annual Conference.

CIPAC is one of the leading international platforms for professional discussion of current intellectual property issues. The conference brings together representatives of government authorities, businesses, legal and patent communities, as well as experts from around the world.

During the seminar, experts from Zuykov and Partners delivered three presentations focusing on practical aspects of intellectual property protection and management.

  • Online Monitoring of Counterfeit Products. The presentation was delivered by Maxim Zuykov, Head of ZIPDetect. He discussed modern approaches to identifying counterfeit product listings online and the role of automated monitoring in protecting brands.
  • Russian and Eurasian Patent Applications. Ailana Biche-ool, Patent Department Specialist, spoke about key practical aspects of filing patent applications in Russia and Eurasia. Particular attention was paid to the preliminary assessment of the prior art, careful drafting of patent claims, and the importance of high-quality translation when entering foreign patent systems.
  • Compulsory Licensing Practice in Russia and Eurasia. The presentation was delivered by Sergey Zuykov, Managing Partner of Zuykov and Partners and Russian and Eurasian Patent Attorney. Sergey Zuykov demonstrated how compulsory licensing can be used to balance the exclusive rights of patent holders with public interests, particularly ensuring access to socially significant products.

Participants had the opportunity to discuss current intellectual property issues and receive practical insights from Zuykov and Partners experts on Russian and Eurasian IP regulation.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to join the seminar in person in Beijing or watch the online broadcast! We greatly value the opportunity to engage with a professional audience and to make our events a platform for international exchange of expertise in the field of intellectual property.
