Sergey Zuykov Spoke at the IP ForeFront Pharma Forum

On September 18, Sergey Zuykov, Managing Partner at Zuykov and Partners and a Russian and Eurasian Patent Attorney, spoke at the international IP ForeFront Pharma Forum, presenting on “Compulsory License Court Case Study: Russia and Eurasia.”

During his presentation, Sergey Zuykov examined court practice in compulsory licensing cases in Russia and Eurasia. His presentation focused on the legal grounds for granting a compulsory license, the approaches taken by courts when considering such disputes, and practical aspects of protecting the interests of rights holders and other participants in the pharmaceutical market.

Compulsory licensing remains a significant issue for pharmaceutical companies, as it involves balancing exclusive rights to pharmaceutical products with the possibility of their use without the rights holder’s consent in cases provided for by law.

The IP ForeFront Pharma Forum brought together experts in intellectual property and the pharmaceutical industry.
