On November 20–21, the China Innovation and Intellectual Property Summit (CIPIS 2025) took place in Beijing. As part of the event, Zuykov and Partners organized a specialized conference entitled “Intellectual Property Strategies in Russia for a Digital Future”.

The conference focused on current challenges and trends in intellectual property protection and cross-border cooperation between China and Russia. The agenda covered a wide range of practical and strategic topics, including the prevention of common errors in trademark filings, strategies for avoiding refusals in patent applications for inventions and utility models, and the registration of Chinese appellations of origin and geographical indications in the Russian Federation.

Additional sessions explored the growing role of artificial intelligence in legal practice, technological and legal aspects of AI-generated works, online tools for combating counterfeiting, trademark registration in the Russian Customs Register, and recent developments in copyright law and case practice in the digital environment.

Speakers included Zuykov and Partners’ experts Alexandra Dubrovskaya, Ailana Biche-ool, and Ekaterina Gorbunova, along with guest speaker Maria Shcherbakova from IU of Applied Sciences. Each session concluded with a Q&A discussion with the audience.

The conference attracted both in-person participants attending the second day of CIPIS and more than 700 online viewers who followed the live stream in English and Chinese.
