The IP Committee of Business Russia discussed the extension of patents

On September 25, a meeting of the IP Committee was held under the chairmanship of Sergey Zuykov, Managing Partner of Zuykov and partners, Eurasian Patent Attorney.

The central topic of discussion was the extension of the validity of several patents for inventions with one registration certificate, as well as the specifics of extending and challenging the Eurasian patent.

Presentations were made by Vladislav Ryabov, Lawyer, Patent Attorney, Senior Associate at Lidings Law Firm, and Natalia Zharova, Patent Attorney at Kvashnin, Sapelnikov and partners.

"Following the meeting, a position was developed on the preparation of a legislative initiative aimed at making appropriate amendments to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The initiative will be worked out and submitted by early December," said Sergey Zuykov, Chairman of the IP Committee of the Moscow Regional Branch of Business Russia.
