Parity of sanctions for the protection of IP objects of foreign right holders will be discussed at a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On November 15, 2022, a meeting of the Working Group on Improving Intellectual Property Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation will be held.

The meeting will be chaired by the Head of the Group, the Eurasian Patent Attorney, Managing Partner of Zuykov and partners Sergey Zuykov. The meeting of the working group will be attended by members of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Intellectual Property, members of the Working Group, business representatives, and patent attorneys.

It is planned to discuss the issues of the parity of sanctions for the protection of intellectual property objects of right holders from the sanctioned countries, as well as the draft federal law No. 184016-8 “On Amendments to the Federal Law “On the Enactment of Part IV of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation” (on issues of compulsory licenses for objects of copyright and related rights). In addition, it is planned to discuss the issue of allowing the import of audiovisual works without the permission of the copyright holder.
