Starting October 4, additional fees will be introduced in Russia for the registration and renewal of trademarks

According to the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated September 23, 2025, No. 1459 “On Amendments to Certain Acts of the Government of the Russian Federation on Intellectual Property Issues”, several measures will come into force on October 4, 2025, including an increase in the official fees for registration and renewal of trademarks.

• The official fee for filing a trademark registration application will amount to 17,000 RUB + 2,500 RUB for each class of the Nice Classification (ICGS), plus 500 RUB for each goods/services designation exceeding 10 items in one class of the ICGS.
• The official fee for trademark renewal will amount to 22,000 RUB + 2,000 RUB for each class of the ICGS exceeding 5 classes, plus 500 RUB for each goods/services designation exceeding 10 items in one class of the ICGS.
• Issuance of a paper certificate (upon the applicant’s request) will cost 3,000 RUB.
