Pharmaceuticals-2024: legal issues

The annual conference of Pravo.ru was held on April 11.

The pharmaceutical sector has been following an import substitution strategy in recent years. However, the pursuit of technical sovereignty poses a new challenge, and in practice we have to face problematic issues. It is obvious that the new legal reality requires a timely response, an operational increase in the effectiveness of the state support mechanisms that have appeared and the search for ways to promote pharmaceutical products.

Experts discussed how the Pharma 2030 strategy is developing, what changes took place in 2023 and what to prepare for in 2024.

Managing Partner Sergey Zuykov moderated the session "IP Disputes & Pharmaceuticals: Litigation". Ludmila Lisovskaya, expert of the patent department of Zuykov and partners, spoke on the topic "Cancellation of the Eurasian patent of Pfizer. Case no. SIP-730/2022". Roman Larshin, Head of the Legal Department of Zuykov and partners, spoke on the topic "Recovery of compensation for violation of the exclusive right to a trademark: the position of the Constitutional Court in the case of "Bayu-baj".
