Classes of ICGS

Each trademark is registered in some certain goods and services divided by classes. At present there are 45 classes in total (34 - goods and 11 - services). They are established by International (Nice) Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (ICGS)

ICGS — It is the abbreviation of International (Nice) Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks), established under the Agreement on Classifications (the Nice Agreement) designed for trademarks registration

According to the principle of operation, the codes of the ICGS are similar to OKVED codes (Russian National Classifier of Types of Economic Activity).
