Maintaining design patents in Eurasia

The term of a Eurasian design patent shall be five years from the date of filing an application for a Eurasian design patent (hereinafter - Eurasian design application).

The term of a Eurasian design patent may be extended at the request of the holder of a Eurasian design patent with respect to the territory of all the Contracting States in which the patent is valid, each time for five years. At the same time, the total term of a Eurasian design patent shall not exceed twenty-five years from the date of filing of the Eurasian design application.

The term of a Eurasian design patent shall be extended subject to the payment of the relevant fee to the Eurasian Office.
