Why Patent an Invention?

Patent grants the author of intellectual property object the exclusive right for it. Patent can be granted for invention, utility model and design.

Patent helps protecting intellectual property object from the third parties infringements and lets patent-holder prohibit any unsanctioned use of his intellectual property by other parties.

Liability for the patent infringement is envisaged by the Civil Code (reimbursement for the loss of expected gain or profit, reimbursement for moral damage, etc.) and by criminal legislation (fine, compulsory community service and imprisonment).
