The Week of Intellectual Property in London

The employees of the company “Zuykov and Partners” attended the London IP Week Conference held onfrom the 10 th till the 12 th of December, 2018.On the first day of the meeting, the Conference was held on the future technologies and their connectionwith the intellectual property subject matters. During the panel discussions the speakers presented thereports on such topics as:― The importance of intellectual property in technological startups, as well as in small and medium-sizedenterprises. What is the result – whether to patent or not to patent?― The intellectual property regime in Cyprus.― The future technologies – licensing, standards and open resources.― The role of intellectual property in commercialization and others.Also, the organizers suggested that the participants should attend the individual speeches of the experts atwhich the problems of protecting intellectual property in Europe, protecting the trademarks in the digitalenvironment and the influence on the social networks in the future were discussed.On the second day, the Big Corporate Summit was held, where those present were discussing theimportance of the technologies in managing intellectual property, controlling and protecting theintellectual property rights at the digital revolution era. During the individual sessions, the speakerstouched upon the fields of patenting and protection of intellectual property. The attendees of theConference had an opportunity to undergo the training sessions for the peculiarities and innovations in astrategic patent analysis.Despite the fact that the event lasted only during a few days, the intensity of the programme and theversatility of the topics touched upon allowed the audience getting a large volume of the useful andrelevant information in the field of protection and defense of intellectual property.
